<<<< 95% of GAPS are filled,<<<<

But part of that is just statistical random walk phenomenon. Take any opening price.... gap or no gap, what are the chances that a price of say $1/4 under the opening will be touched again some time in the future? It must be very high. So that phenomenon ie. prices move both up and down may be responsible for most gaps being filled.

One could just as easily say that the space $1/4 above or below a gap will be touched again some time. What are the odds of that happening? It may be the same as the odds of the gap being filled. And of course if gap filling is religion, then it may be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Does anyone have any data on this?
