Newsweek Features Smithsonian CD-ROM Featured item in the current(Nov. 23) Newsweek Cyberscope section. Looks like they like it. (so far so good!!!) Hands-On 3-D Tour Can't get to the Smithsonian? The renowned institution's CD-ROM ($24.95; 800-322-0344) features more than 670 of its artifacts from its various museums (that can be seen in 3-D with special glasses). You can take a mummy from its sarcophagus, zoom in for a close-up or remove the mask and see the nicely preserved face beneath it. Or check out George Washington's mess kit from the Revolutionary War. It's a tour worth taking. JB
