Bob, I bought in about the same time- I'm a family practice doc and I have always been impressed with Quidel's technology- ease of use, definable endpoint and interpretation of results- of note, is that for the first time in my 11 years of practice here a Quidel rep showed up at my office to discuss his wares- before, products had come through other vendors- Becton/Dickinson for one- although I wasn't too impressed with the rep I felt this was a step in the right direction for the company- There will likely be much competition- another rep yesterday from Astra? makers of prilosec told me they had an agreement with some other diagnostic company for another h.pylori test- I feel pretty confident tho that the quality of Quidel's testing will generally set the standard.
