This, of course, is a nontechnicians point of view, but if there are all kinds of new data transmissions going on--controlling all sorts of things, such as lights, for example, wouldn't cdma be the best way (that we know of at this point) to keep the traffic straight and eliminate interference? I am assuming that much of the traffic is using the same broadcast frequencies and equipment to send the signals to the end point.
