We have some streams with smallies but there is a lot of brush. Ultralight spinning works better. Probably could use a flyrod out of a boat but a baitcaster works so well on the bass and stripers [which reach 25 pounds]. Might try my 9 weight on one lake for muskies with a big streamer. Minimum size on a musky there is 48".
