Barramundi Gold applying for Class B mining permit for Longline.

The Longline property is in the Yukon region. Due to lack of
exploration funds (but availability of development funds)
Barramundi have decided to apply for a Class B mining permit
for the Longline project. This allows for a mill throughput
of 100 tonnes per day and has a much shorter processing period
(6 months) than an A Class permit (2 years +).
They are planning for a 20,000 tonne annual mill throughput, with
an initial bulk sample open-cut mine operation during summer of next
year (early 99).

This information is taken from the 1998 Annual report, which has just been released.
For further information on BAM see barramundi.com
Also there have been rumors that Newmont has looked over the Longline
property and is very interested.

BAM signed joint venture agreement with Normandy Mt Leyshon ealier this year on their Wandoo property in Queensland, Australia.
If you are interested in jnrs then I recommend you obtain a copy of
1998 annual report.
In particular read stuff on Hunker Dome property on Tintina Fault and volcanic-associated massive suphide (VMS) discoveries on northern side
of fault, which puts Hunker Dome in just the right place for southern side discovery potential.
