Axiom Inc. Announces Settlement of Trademark Litigation
MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Axiom Inc. (Nasdaq: AXIM - news) announced today that, on November 16, 1998, Judge McKelvie, District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, rendered his decision in the previously announced trademark case brought by Acxiom Corporation against the Company. Acxiom sought injunctive relief, money damages and attorneys' fees.
The court concluded that Acxiom was entitled to an order enjoining Axiom from making further use of the Axiom name and related injunctive relief. The court also concluded that Acxiom is not entitled to any money damages or attorneys' fees. The court has not yet entered an order specifying the required timing with respect to Axiom's discontinuing use of its name. Axiom stated that it and its counsel are still in the process of reviewing the court's opinion and no decision has yet been made on whether to appeal the decision or take other action.
