MH: ruling does not change any thing for solaris. it does not benefit sunw in any way. a friend of mine tells me that "tape does not lie"
techstocks.com
Sunw is mostly doing this for the independent developers. small people like u and me who would like to write once and have their sw be sold on all o.s.

If sunw can not fight for these develpers it becomes the same story as old Mac developers.

Solaris is a different stroy, u r right. My point was that Sunw current estimates which are higher then Msft's current estimates
does NOT include any revenue coming from MERCED related expansion.

NT will realize revenue from small servers but for real work solaris will be the choice.
Big applications such as SAP or CAD applications will goto solaris.

So my thinking is that sunw may become a sw company but current earning and PE is not refelcting that? I can not figure out why
sunw has outperformed even aol dell, intc, csco and all in last 30 days and outperformed most stocks good hitech stocks in last 100days. very serious volume goes on an up day and not a down day.
