<The stock is really cheap at 148 and in reality should be trading $400
and we will still get strong buys from AMZN because ecommerce will grow to $ 7
trillion and everybody will still buy it as the real value of the stock should be what
Berkshire Hathway trades at.
Got your point!!>

Raiders,

Looks to me you actually didn't get my point, or analysts' point. The reason analysts are so enthusiastic about AMZN's entering Video/Gift business is because they see AMZN has the potential to become an e-commence giant selling every kind of consumer products on the net. What they are seeing is another AOL back in 1995. Check AOL's history you would find that AOL exploded in 1995 when it had 3 splits within a year frame. AOL now has about 4.5 times of shares AMZN has. Analysts are seeing a potential explode of AMZN in the next year or so. Does that mean AMZN will have 2 more splits in next 12 months? Very possible! In fact, I would expect AMZN's board to declair a 2-for-1 split as soon as perhaps this coming weekend to retain the gain AMZN has enjoyed so far. As analysts' said, if AMZN's success in entering CD/Music business can be used to predict how long it will take AMZN to take the lead in selling Video over net, then chances are that within the current qtr AMZN will probably become the leader on video selling business over the net. That obviously will add a huge new revenue into Dec. qtr's bottom line. More promisingly, AMZN's new gift store opens an even broader e-commerce area, actually it shows AMZN's ambition of selling virtually no limit of what kind of consumer products over the net in the coming years. If you counted this potential, do you still think AMZN is expensive at $150?

My advise to the shorties on this board, don't fight the tape! Some of you have been wrong several times now. Cover your shorts and go long! If you do you probably will recover all your losses as soon as perhaps by year end when AMZN reaches $200, or $100-split adjusted.
