Micro WebServer along with DNS/DHCP has had a rather lukewarm welcome in the market which requires CGI bin scripts support and Database connectivity which MicroWebServer does not provide as yet!

In Interop Cisco sold quite a few of DNS/DHCP software stuff. Some network experts are of the opinion that MicroWebServer is targetted at the SOHO market which requires just plain HTML marketing information about their companies on WWW.

Remember though that most CIO's and smaller outfits need to have an online catalog and store, which requires cgi-bin scripting. So, MicroWebServer is a Web Server starter kit (kinda).

Finally of course MicroWebServer is only 1 of nearly hundreds of products that Cisco sells. Miniscule if you ask me. Competing against players like HP (which also has an identical product) and GNN would be rather difficult for Cisco.
