Ask me on Dec. 31/98. I am very comfortable in saying that WSP will be much higher at the conclusion of the winter program. There is every indication that the dyke is, in simple terms, a single phase homogeneous deposit. There have been enough clues in the last couple to news releases to indicate that they also have a better understanding of what they have. The 500 kg sample IS important to Winspear as it allows them to begin the process of generating a geostatistical database but is not material to long term investors.

From the Oct. 29/98 issue:

"The 500 kg sample is currently being processed. All diamonds bigger than 0.5 mm X 0.5 mm are being recovered. The market is expecting the number of diamonds recovered from this sample to be in line with those reported in 1997. With this in mind, we should expect in excess of 1,200 diamonds from the above sample. Over 35% of these should be macros. Consistency of this type will continue to add confidence towards the existence of an economic deposit at Snap Lake. I do not expect Winspear to report the size distribution from this sample but do expect some sort of aggregate results letting the market know that large diamonds exist."

Large numbers such as this always have some sex appeal attached. Some will say the glass is half full, others will say the glass is half empty and one will say that the contents are contaminated. I say there are very few glasses and many thirsty individuals. They will come to drink from Winspear.

Sincerely,
