Well, having caught up now, I see that CHiP's :) report reflects the TNT love in the market. Don't discount these guys. They hyped the hell out of their product, and didn't live up to the hype, but still developed a solid product. Meanwhile, TDFX is out there saying yeah, V2 for the gamer, Banshee for OEM's...Banshee 2 probably won't be available for retail, yada, yada...Bottom line...nVidia knows how to hype their stuff, and that is half the battle. Banshee came out with practically no hype...hell, even the renewed SLI thing got those damned monkeys!

As for the message a few back about OEMs who won't be fooled by things like 32bpp color, get real! Retailers want to differentiate themselves, and include product support lists a mile long...whether we can truly utilize AGP or not is moot...it's the marketing stupid! (not aimed at anyone)....and don't forget EVERY review out there...they give the TNT the edge over V2 since 1) no pass through required- problem solved 2) better image quality 3) great 2D- problem solved 4) better D3D performance. The only nod TDFX gets, and this only occasionally, is Glide support. And while we know the value of Glide, the reporting world is out to convince everybody (perhaps correctly) that D3D is the future.
