Sun says will seek money damages after Java ruling.
>PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov 17 (Reuters) - Sun Microsystems Inc. said Tuesday's ruling against Microsoft Corp. in its Java breach-of-contract suit did not extend to software that Microsoft has already shipped.
Palo Alto, Calif.-based Sun also plans, when the trial gets underway, to ask that the preliminary injunction ordering Microsoft to remove Java technology from its Windows 98 operating system and its Internet Explorer 4.0 browser within 90 days be made permanent, said Michael Morris, Sun's general counsel, on a telephone conference call.
*Sun will also ask for money damages, Morris said. ''No question about it,''* he said.<
I think I'm going to look at MSFT LEAP puts.
