Nice article, Scrapps. For those wondering why USR isn't making all kinds of noise about xDSL NOW, there were a couple of quotes worth noting:

"If (digital technology) is an extension of your core business like Robotics, you are more likely to tap into that and ramp it up on high volume when the market is there," Sood said.

Cowell says U.S. Robotics is indeed taking pains to make sure everything is in place before it plunges ahead. This "really is the early days" for digital technology, he said. The risk now, he said, is to rush into digital too soon.
