Elmer - You shouldn't take my word about the K7. I have no inside knowledge of how the chip works, nor do I have contacts within AMD. I am basing what I say on what the people who write the Microprocessor Report have said. Those people said the K7 is a powerful chip. Those people deal with mircoprocessors day in and day out. Those people know what they are talking about. I trust those guy's "word". If you want to read their comments, do a search through www.techweb.com. "Simple, Intel blows AMD away, but as for benchmarks, there aren't any." If there aren't any benchmarks, why have you been hyping cooled Katami's with 1.6 GB memory transfer rate. Were you babbling then and coming forward now with the truth? "You'll just have to take my word for it." How can I "just" take your word when you lied to me in a message before this? "Why the double standard?" You should ask yourself that question. "Until then I assure you that the Intel processors blow away the K7." Until then I assure you that the K7 will blow away Intel processors. ;))
