Bob, Thank you for the links to Uniplan. I know so little about Quidel's Safeplan product that I can't make a comparison between it and Persona. Persona's price is lower than I expected it would be. The initial cost of about $30 and monthly maintenance of about $6 (assuming I've used the correct currency exchange) are very attractive. I hope Quidel provides a progress report on its Safeplan soon.

The timing is right for an earnings surprise, and I think there's a good possibility Quidel will report $0.07 or more earnings this quarter. I do realize, however, that Quidel is just emerging from its transition as an OEM supplier to selling products under its brand name, many of Quidel's products have just recently received key approvals, and Quidel has recently entered into marketing agreements with major distributors. Will the third quarter validate the success of these recent developments? - I think so, and if not, the next few quarters will. A few days ago I bought more warrants.

Have you been following this thread from the beginning?

As a follow up to Bob's questions, I'd appreciate your comments regarding Strep testing. As you know, Quidel has the only CLIA waived Strep test. It costs less than three dollars and is 96 percent accurate. How does this compare with other rapid tests or the culture tests you're familiar with?
