i must admit i do not trust the federal government to look out for me, i'm just not worth enough! and it would cost me more to sell my shares than to just write them off--but i am glad some of you can keep up with all of this. best not to bet against the big boys this last couple of years, the ones with the play money to give to each other in this "best of times". for those of you with more experience, (and i am sorry if you do), do i just declare the loss without a sale order? should i consult an accountant, my broker, or hope for the best from the irs? have a nice day all :-)
