I go back to the pre-IBM era of microcomputing as well. Those were the days of the CP/M operating system and companies like Osborne and Kaypro, and software like dbase II, Supercalc, and Wordstar. Not to mention proprietary OS's on machines like on the Victor 9000, DEC Rainbow, and Olivetti. Then came the IBM clones like Corona, Columbia, and Compaq. Ahhh... those were the days.
