This would make sense, as it would give this Chinese company instant American brand recognition. However, with the Asian economy in such bad shape, one wonders if Legend has the financial strength to take on so much debt.

The only hope, IMO, for the Syquest name to live on is if it is branded onto CD-RW and DVD drives and discs. Since Syquest retains rights to their factory in Malaysia, a low cost operation could be to simply use the facilities in taking Yamaha CD-RW drives and slapping them into Syquest cases.

I don't know if Legend makes CD-RW and DVD, But I know that all of the companies I've mentioned before do.
