This is wrong judgement. Players at the AEA don't know their asses from a hole in the ground. The move in IPEC follows similar moves in NVLS, AMAT, SFAM, etc. It is an industry recovery move.

How about the fundamental profundity of a IPEC-SFAM merger? They'd both fall into the ditch.

Wouldn't someone like LAM want to buy IPEC? No.

Why are the institutions buying these shares? Speculation. Buy cheap stock, but don't buy much.

Why is HQ retaining this company as a buy? Downsizing has given the company operating leverage. Current interconnect dimensions are maxed out. IPEC is a gamble on risk taking among Semi fabs. If INTC is expected to prosper, she will have to do it in finer geometries. That takes lead time and investment in tool mfgers. What INTC might do, others must have already done for them to compete which implies forward buying of tools.

At what level are the shares cheap? 8 - 9.
