Steve - Re: " I learned to program on a 64, in 6502 ASM." That's a good background. I taught myself to program in MASM 86 on a Compaq 8088 - to do data acquisiton on 8 serial ports at once ! Assembly programming was the only method I could find that had the speed - code size wasn't really a driving issue. Paul
