Nobody told me this so I thought it was fun !

Stuffing data into registers, pushing and popping the stack ,turning on and off the Interrupts - that was cool !

It was like driving a stick shift car, thinking that all cars drove that way !


And then you got your first automatic ;-)

The thing I hated most about the 8086 and x86 up until the 386 was teh segmented memory access scheme.. this really prevented the cpus from being used to their full potential in the early days IMHO..
