<< I am always amazed at the lengths those that don't know God go to explain how unfair He is, and being "mythical" as it is claimed, how does God evoke so much feeling. >>

I have no feelings for a non-existent god. His followers, however, are not mythical, and when they try to impose their beliefs on others, such as the right to an abortion, whether the fact of evolution is to be taught in public schools, whether there will be coerced prayer in public places, I am going to react, and do whatever is reasonably possible to frustrate them. I feel that owe it to future generations to help them to be free from mythology, and use the rational minds that they were born with. I have no desire to exterminate people, but I would like to see religion exterminated. I would never use force as most religious groups have been known to do though.

<< Paul explained the reasons the law was made obsolete and it makes perfect sense as it should. Why continue to obtain forgiveness of sins for one year only from the sacrifice of animals and the spilling of their blood? That was what the law was about... Jesus provided forgiveness for all time when He shed His blood at calvary. >>

How come god didn't get these laws right the first time. Come on. The guy that made the whole Universe?

<< 2 Peter 3 15-16 "And regard the patience of our Lord to be salvation: just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort,as they do also the rest of the scriptures, to their own destruction." >>

Why would your god, who so much desires constant admiration and therefore belief in himself, make it so confoundingly difficult to understand the Bible, to the point that scholars that spend their entire lives studying it can't come to an understanding of what it really says? Isn't that grossly unfair to the mentally challenged? They wouldn't have the same shot at getting into heaven that you and Emile have.
