freeus: re your comment"hope for the future": sonki was asking when i will be forced to trade other than dell. in my 80997 today, i was basically telling her also, that the company is also my hope for the future. and whenever there is a dip in the price, i try to imagine lots of new shareholders coming in, with new brilliant ideas, which find their way to the company--here of course. i always remember how obsessed gates was with free feedback from customers. he never had a thread like this. the larest asset of coke, is "good will". can you imagine dell showing the value of this thread as an asset on their statement? with all the fancy calculations of value made here, no one can directly address this--it is just assumed by core thread members. how large could dell be, with this feedback from the thread? i can understand people selling to have cash for personal use, but i have yet to see a value anaysis which is high enough. which means, if you can afford to, buy in now for the next generation, and become active somewhere on the thread! of course, i just joined, but it has been very important to me.
