Two weeks old? I have to check into that. The COT is supposed to be updated daily by Commercials and so forth. The data comes out on Friday, so I cannot quite understand why they would put it off an extra week. Now I don't recall for certain if the data comes out weekly or bi-weekly. Perhaps if it's bi-weekly then the person who told you that meant it was 2 weeks old because data posted as of the 13th includes data all the way back to the 2nd. I only started acquiring the data Monday and have not done any work with it as yet so I'm not certain. But it does seem odd to me that they would compile the data daily then distribute it a week late. In essence, if it is, it's close to worthless in this type of market I think. After all, who cares what their positions were 2 weeks ago. Perhaps the website has the correct story. EDIT Here's one link but all it really says is that it's every 2 weeks apogee-atl.com Anyway, I cannot spend any time on it right now. I have to presume that yes, if you are looking at it during the day of November 13th or November 27th it would be two weeks old. But right now it's 2 days old, I would have to believe.
