Dan,

<< Because if you are saying here that I could believe in Jesus the Christ as I do and also NOT believe by accepting another story, what would that make me? Lukewarm right? And I have already addressed that. >>

I am not asking you to not believe in your chosen path. I have never asked that of you or anyone. However, I think ALL people should allow others the right ot believe what they want to, as long as it does no physical harm to others.
More importantly, opening yourself up to other thoughts and beliefs is not saying you dont have a deep belief in christianity. It only means that you hve an open mind. If you do have as deeply rooted belief in christianity as you think you do,(which I am sure is true) then your belief system is never in doubt of being changed.

<<Interpret what? the Story? I disagree with that Markus, I believe many interpret it according to their own lusts. >>

Yes, I am sure that many do interpret according to their lusts. However, many interpret woithout lust and come away as Catholics, Protestans, Baptists, Jews, Jews for Jesus, Hindus, Bhuddists,Muslims, etc.... We all interpret differently, that is a fact. YOu could have 100 born again christians, and get many different interpretations, Throw in the rest of the world, and see how many difeent interpretations you get. God had to know that when he distributed his message.

<<Darrin likens folks who believe in Jesus as "people who think the world is flat, or witch hunters, and the like. That is not running down Jesus?? >>

That is unfair, IMO. He came on to this thread and talked of harmony.
He was castigated by some forty posts a day, for days, before he lost his temper. He hardly started the bad words. I know I have lost my temper on this thread in the past, but that doesnt mean that I wish ill will on anyone. Heck, I wass the fiorst person to come on this thread and say we should defend Emile's right to post when he was being attacked on that other thread.

<<Now, without the "STORY" how would you go about that? Who defined love and compassion?>>
Dan, Jesus was not the first person to talk about Love and compassion.
He did not define it, he gave a definition ofit, but no the first one.
To say there was no love or compassion before Jesus is not true.

Mark

BTW, you have to stop pasting my prior statements, every time I see how bad my punctuation is, I get physically ill. :-)
