PeakSoft Announces New Technology Direction; Company Appoints Java Search Engine Pioneer Simon Arnison as Chief Technology Officer
COMDEX, LAS VEGAS, NEVADA--PeakSoft Corporation (ASE:PKT; OTC- BB:PEAFF-pending), a pioneer in the development of Internet research and communication technology, today announced its new technology direction. PeakSoft is continuing to build upon the strengths of its NetMagnet core technology, which is being re-engineered into a first generation of Java-based custom business solutions.
PeakSoft embarked on its new technology direction with the appointment of Simon Arnison last month as chief technology officer. Mr. Arnison has agreed to become a member of PeakSoft's board of directors. Arnison was formerly co-founder of Innotech and chief architect of NetResults, the first Java-based search engine for Websites and intranets.
Arnison's newly founded Java-development company, Classwave (www.classwave.com) is assuming the task of taking PeakSoft's core technology to the next level. This process will include achieving 100 percent Pure Java(TM) certification in adherence to strict standards established for the creation of Java Beans(TM) and Enterprise Java Beans(TM) using object-oriented methodologies.
"We are pleased and excited to have Simon Arnison's experience and vision at work for PeakSoft," stated PeakSoft President Doug Foster. "Simon brings a new product focus and drive which will result in a new generation of custom Internet-based business applications leveraging Java industry standards set by Sun Microsystems, Inc."
"These promising developments represent major steps towards achieving PeakSoft's new mission, which is to develop and to market leading Internet communication software tools that empower businesses to build knowledge, e-commerce and relationships," Foster continued.
Several prototypes of PeakSoft's first generation Java-based custom business solutions are currently under development. Examples currently include LawTrack (http://lawtrack.peak.com) and RealtyTracer (http://realtytracer.peak.com) as custom business solutions that take innovative approaches to building knowledge, e- commerce and one to one relationships using PeakSoft's NetMagnet core technology.
