SGI gets very little revenue from the Nintendo royalty. The reason
for the Nintendo deal was strictly to make the silicon foundries
happy. The foundries were somewhat reluctant to give SGI their
advance process if the volume of the processor production
was not high enough. The only Silicon partner which really counts
is NEC and the Nintendo deal was partly to satify their concerns.
