Marathon Sports Group Kicks Off 'McCarver One-on-One' Talk Show With All-Star Roster of Sports Personalities
Daily Drive-Time Feature Set to Launch Jan. 4; Interview Archives Available for Sale at Prosportsnet.com
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 18, 1998-- Marathon Sports Group Inc., a subsidiary of Eclipse Entertainment Group Inc. (OTC BB:ECLE - news), kicked off its weekly, four-hour ''McCarver One-on-One'' radio talk show on 402 stations nationwide this past weekend (Nov. 14 and Nov. 15) with a lineup of all-star sports personalities.
Hosted by legendary sportscaster Tim McCarver, the show features in-depth interviews with sports' most sought after and interesting guests, including two-time Super Bowl champion quarterback and NFL sportscaster Phil Simms and 1998 Olympic Gold Medalists Picabo Street, Johnny Moseley and Nikki Stone.
Other guests included legendary boxing trainer and ESPN analyst Teddy Atlas, two-time Pulitzer Prize nominee and Muhammad Ali biographer Tom Hauser, Sport magazine Editor in Chief Norb Garrett and super agent Scott Boras.

Marathon Sport Group also announced that the signing of prominent sports stations in the nation's top 25 markets for its Jan. 4, 1999, launch of its daily, drive-time sports feature, ''Talking Sports With Tim McCarver.'' ''Talking Sports With Tim McCarver'' will feature daily essays by McCarver on today's sports news.
A full sponsorship deal with one of America's leading retailers will be announced in December. Recently, Marathon dramatically expanded its comprehensive agreement with INB to sell access to Marathon's expansive archives of interviews through INB's unique Liquid Audio program.
With nearly 10 million hits per month, INB hopes to make Marathon's archives, which include more than 1,200 hours of interviews with the greatest sports stars of all time, one of the Internet's most popular sports commerce sites. Audio interviews of various lengths can be downloaded for fees ranging from $1.99 to $6.99 per interview.
