Tim, Thanks for your response. I assume that if there had been a problem with mortgages (or future yields, or credit card expiry dates etc), this would have been well publicized by the Y2K zealots. I have not heard any such noise so I am assuming that there have been few if any problems. I'm not sure how you would "prove" this without talking with every mortgage holder.

Here in Canada, they have announced that all leaves for the armed forces have been cancelled for Jan 1, 2000 in case they are needed to be on the streets to maintain order if the electric system fails. Also they are suggesting that people stock up with food and perhaps get a gun to protect their "stash".

Can you believe it!!
