>> 'India,Land of the Tiger' On public television now.

It was an excellent series (3 part), all of which I watched. The narrator Valmik Thapar did an excellent job. My only grouse was that they were trying to cover an enormous topic in a short span (almost 5 1/2 hours). It is interesting to note the theme underlying the presentation i.e. the co-existence of humans and animals, in stark contrast to the western model. I think choosing Valmik Thapar was apt (as opposed to the voice of anthony hopkins) since that infuses colour or color (no pun intended).

I bet most desis don't know that the entire himalyan range supports flora and fauna from the frozen tundra to the tropical rainforest (From the elusive snow leopard,to crabs in the lower himalays, to the Gibbon ape).
