true that was one of the purposes... I think the other major purpose was to make it easier for other nations to pay their debts (which are all denominated in dollars for the most part)

however, I'd be shocked if this move helped our exports. Asia is in a depression... they aren't buying their own "cheap" goods why would they suddenly decide to fork over yen for US imports?

I say problem ain't price, it is demand. that's the nature of deflation.
