I also had some strange stuff go on with my margin account, and then after I had been trading on margin for a month, Etrade emailed me and said they were going to set up my account as a margin account now. I wonder if Etrade is trying to match trades within their own system and so they wait and then if you put in a cancel they send it out for execution. Can anyone say that they DON'T do this. Since Etrade has some nice services and because it is a pain moving accounts, I will try and stick them out for the year. I hope Datek gets into Florida. You will much prefer them to Etrade. If you find out anything about Empire Financial Corp. let us know please. I guess it is warm down there; you lucky guy!
