Perhaps I wasn't clear. I wasn't talking about IE and Java so much as I was talking about the DOJ antitrust case. Here's the syllogism:

1) The number one distribution channel for Java is the browser market.
2) Microsoft has been accused to trying to eliminate Netscape from the desktop, specifically through integration of IE with Win95.
3) If Microsoft eliminates Netscape from the desktop, and Java is no longer distributed with Win 98/2000, then the number one distribution channel for Java has been blocked.
4) It can be argued that closing off the main distribution channel for a competing product (Java allegedly competes with Win32) is anticompetitive.
