i was first introduced to it in the mid 70's when i worked at the Board of Trade...no computers then, we charted by hand......Elliott's work started 40 years before that......we all thought it was very interesting back then, but without the aid of instant live charts i found it useless for shorter term stuff back then .......with todays technology i love it......the Prechters of the world treat it as a religion and believe IT controls moves that are preordained..i don't
but i find it outperforms the more traditional stuff, (head&shoulders, etc)....put together along with some basic fundamental and econ stuff and it shoots the Random Walk Theory as pure garbage
