Rude, I have read those items and thankyou for digging them out. Those were exactly the announcements I was referring to. So my statement still stands. HP had announced that they too would develop their own mutation of Java. MSFT has just lost on this premise. HP must now be wondering how well their tangent Java development strategy will stand up in court. How long do you think it will take for Sun to walk over to the HP offices and persuade them to get back in line with the pure-Java model or be taken to court for the issue to be resolve (and Sun takes the MSFT case under its belt as precedence)?
