This is what the actual magazine article says:
As the first refrigerated milk based dietary supplement to show up in grocer's dairy cases, Basics Plus from Lifeway Foods. " It has been more than a winner for us," says Michael Smolyansky, CEO, " we've hit the jackpot." Orignally introduced earlier this year in select Midwest cities in only two flavors, Basics Plus quickly grew to a five-variety line. It can be found primarily in natural/health food stores on the East and West coasts, in addition to expanded Midwest markets. " We're also successfully exporting Basics Plus to the Ukraine, says Smolyansky. " In the first shipment, 10,000 quarts sold in three days." Basics Plus milk beverage contains active kefir cultures and Proventra natural immune components derived from dairy cow colostrum. Lifeway possess the rights to a patent that protects its formulation.
Remember that Lifeway just picked up 3 more distributors for 'Basics Plus' last month. Also in their press release from 2 weeks ago,
Smolyansky said Lifeway will spend $500,000 on marketing for Basics Plus and will run advertisements in national health magazines, and on radio and television.
