I strongly disagree. The increased emphasis on the new extented multimedia chips from Intel, DBS signals on PC, ADSL modems in the first quarter of 97 from Amtx all indicate one thing and one thing only. The need for storage will increase tenfold as the full motion compressed video applications increase; similiarly, the more storage capacity for audio will bring RealAudio production to a more sustainable level.
The Syjet will hold around 45 minutes of compressed full motion video, lending applications to professional editing suites. Current server technology may be much more costly in television facilities on a per MG basis. I can't wait to pop in a harddrive and watch reruns of the Newhart show.
Similiarly, the data security and storage applications of a removable drive have grown since the Bernelli box. The Syjet is bigger, faster, and will attract a market.
The story on the chart is not the daily chart, but the weekly and monthly chart. We need a hammer candlestick in January before the climb begins, and every indication would indicate that we could get just that. Syquest is turning the tables. Cover your shorts. |
