Ah, yes. When programmers were men. I thought it was wimpy to move from assembler to fortran. I did like the terminals when we finally got them...eventually. Just when I decided I liked terminals I decided to work in Pascal for a while. One gray dawn after a long night of compilation errors due to using fortran syntax, I did pull a terminal loose and start for a window, fully intending to let it see the light of day very closely. I stopped when the room grew very quiet. I was strongly encouraged to take a break.
The first person that I ever new to order a PC for the home consulted me about hard drives. He had the option of a 10M as standard or a 20M for about $800 more. I advised him to go with the 10M. I didn't see how someone would EVER use 20M hard drive.
