Mot realines......................................... amcity.com The Imaging and Entertainment Solutions group will be the home for a number of products used in video and entertainment products previously grouped under the now-defunct Semiconductor Consumer Group, says Motorola spokesman Ken Phillips. That includes the Blackbird components now being used as the basis for multimedia home entertainment products, including high-definition television. Blackbird components are key to a whole line of Motorola's television set-top boxes that will allow viewers to access the Web via their television and take advantage of HDTV broadcasts. The boxes can support 3D graphics, MPEG digital video, high-fidelity audio, Internet access and broadband networking. The group is not organized under another business group, but rather reports directly to Semiconductor Sector President Hector Ruiz.
