I think I know what the problem is with Paul.

Either he is lying about his Intel holdings, and that seems quite likely since a few posts ago he said he had held two stocks since the 1970s, one of which was Intel, and now he says he owns Dell.

Or, if he is telling the truth, he is sitting on top of a huge capital gain that pays no dividends to speak of and can't bear to sell because of the tax and is afraid of the value of the stock dropping.

In any case, he is a very unhappy person, and we ought to sympathize with his situation.

When Alexander the Great got to the Ganges river he sat down and cried because there was nothing left to conquer. Howard Hughes died in absolute squallor and misery, owning billions of dollars.

I hope we can get back to discussing the stock market.
