Good things come to those who wait: -
I'm going to attempt a TA (Technical Analysis) of NSCP. I am looking at both a 1 year and a 3 year chart. On the 3 year chart, NSCP formed a bottom in Jan 98 near 15, and the retest of this low in Aug and Oct 98 was sucessful in that we had a higher low. NSCP traded at 49 or so in July 97, then revisited that area in July 1998, but fell short and traded at 44 or so. This breakout today is very powerful, and it seems very likely that we will shortly (by 10:00 AM est ??) test the 45 resistance level and also challenge that 49.
I am assumming that both of these tests will be successful. Given the mania that has accompanied brand new IPOs that have the word internet in them, it seems very probably that this "granddaddy" of internet stocks will finally get its day. The propellant obviously is the news about NSCP and AOL. It is certainly likely that AOL will want to have a serious relationship with NSCP, and perhaps even take it over, to become a more dominant player in the fast changing internet landscape. AOL's main challengers are YHOO and MSFT, XCIT, SEEK, LCOS, etc are really also-runs at this point. NSCP would give AOL its own browser and would no longer be dependent on a MSFT browser that MSFT wants to lead to its sites.
SOrry, i digressed on FA (Fundamental Analysis), but that is an important component of the NSCP story.
Back to numbers. I think it very likely that NSCP will quickly challenge the 44-49 area, perhaps pause, perhaps not, and then make a run for the 60-65 level. If it successfully reaches that level, then it should be off and running.
I am long some NSCP that i have in my "forever" portfolio. I bot some last week at 29, sold it at 28 yesterday, and bot it back at 29 3/8 yesterday. I also bot some more this morning around 32. I sold a small portion at 35.
YEEE HAAAWWWWW !!! Larry
