Chat NSCP, AMP: comments on NSCP : techstocks.com AMP - news this afternoon was that AMP is seeking a white knight, perhaps with an offer of 48-49/sh. AMP traded today at 45 5/8, which is a full point above the $44.50 cash that ALD has offered. I think that things will move very quickly now. AMP's legal defenses are fast eroding. I think we will see a white knight, perhaps this week. Once that happens, AMP will be "in play" and the poison pill basically becomes meaningless since AMP will have put itself up for sale. Remember the bidding for Paramount between Viacom and Time Warner. Anyway, once the above scenario unfolds, it will be auction time, and ALD will be able to come in with a higher bid. The AMP board will have to consider all offers, and has a fiduciary responsibility to accept the best offer (best for shareholders, not entrenched management). Prediction: ALD will win at a price about 52-55. If anything, these numbers will be low. Time frame - 2-3 months. Larry
