tippet, I do know a great many of the generation plants in the US are mostly computer controlled - without enough trained hands to accomplish all required tasks day in and day out if the computers are off line. Now, the only question on my mind is if they are Y2K ready? I'm sure some are 1/2 way there, some all the way, some may be no where near. Perhaps we should all call our local utilities and report back to the group so as to reduce hype (or increase truth). I'll be happy to accept greater Denver. rh
