More Assay Results 1200 Level

International Wayside Gold Mines Ltd.
(the "Company") announces that Richard
D. Hall, Ph.D., P.Eng. has reported to the Board of Directors of the
Company assay results on the remaining 6 underground percussion drill
holes of a 24 hole program completed during 1998 on the 1200 level (map
enclosed) of Cariboo Gold Quartz mine at Wells, British Columbia. A total
of 223 holes have been drilled by the Company, on Cow Mountain. An
additional 147 surface holes were completed by previous operators
between elevations of 4,000 and 4,900 feet on Cow Mountain. A mineral
inventory calculation for Cow Mountain using the complete assay data base
is in progress. Management believes that an opportunity exists for a
combined open pit and underground mining operation. Drilling in the BC
Vein and Butts area continues.

ounces of gold, including 1.3 million ounces from placers and 626,755 ounces from the
