More on Comdex -Perhaps those looking for Valence batteries didn't look in the right place, yet!

Eveready/Valence by: wxtad 6885 of 6885
<<Seems to me there was an association between these companies announced a couple of years ago.>>
You will notice in the annual reports the the companies have working agreements and cross licensing agreements that go back a long way.

The two recent posts describing valence batteries in a "suite" at comdex and one today mentioning "MULTI VALENCE PRODUCTS IN THE ENERGIZER SUITE AT COMDEX!!!!!" seem to correlate. Repackagers
were mentioned in the categories of Valence customers. Wouldn't it seem plausible that a battery company like Eveready, that already has cross license agreements with Valence, fit quite well as a repackager?

The suite is probably by invitation only to computer/cellphone/palm pilot makers etc that might place orders for battery packs. What better way for a repackager to demonstrate their capabilities than to have working battery packs installed in major name computers and other portable devices.

I hope we see some confirmation from someone else who has been in the suite. If someone gets the idea to
invest in the battery company, they may do that first before broadcasting their "find".

Eveready as a packager makes sense. Valence can turn out the high volumes and Eveready/Engergizer connects the cells together with or without charging circuitry and sells them to portable device manufacturers. If Eveready has indeed gone to the extent of offering battery packs to portable equipment manufacturers, perhaps that's where Lev came up with the $2.50 per watt hour. It may be a price that has already been agreed to. After all, it was on August 12 that he stated that they were already discussing "terms and conditions, pricing and delivery schedules".

If price is agreed to and Eveready is already showing Valence's batteries, perhaps a contract is not out of the question! How many years has it been?
