Comdex is now over for me (yippee!). I'm headed to the airport in an hour. Today's TDFX news is more limited:

Dennis Fong ("Thresh"), the #1 Quake/Quake2 player in the world was at the booth today as part of a Diamond Monster SLI promotion. It generated a lot of interest as he kicked random people's butt in special 1-on-1 matches. I got to talk with him for about 30 minutes and had a great conversation. He is a _really_ great guy. Totally goes against the stereo-type of the average gamer. Got some autographs and photos. No, I didn't challenge him head-to-head.

FWIW, Thresh has a great new website called FiringSquad. Check it out at firingsquad.com

Sun, I looked for interested game controller thingies today. There were lots of "standard" gizmos from mice to trackballs to tons of force-feedback driving wheels. Microsoft was showing there "tilt" gamepad thing. Kensington has the "Web Mouse" (-from-hell) which won a PC Week award. Mouse with a touchpad and about 20 programmable buttons. It took pictures of several examples and will post them tomorrow.
