AMENDMENT APPROVED, 18 November, minting of a hundred euro gold coin. europarl.eu.int Euro coins - call for gold Cooperation procedure first reading - simple majority votes for amendments to be approved (A4-0401/98 - Soltwedel-Schaefer) Wednesday 18 November - The Commission's proposal to amend the technical specifications of coins to rule out the possibility of fraud in vending machines and also to modify the edges of the 50 cent and 10 cent coins to take account of concerns of blind people, was approved with one amendment designed to provide for the minting of a hundred euro gold coin.
