I understand your reasoning.

<Let's hope AAPL will touch 18>

It is based on the belief that you will have a whip saw effect after taking out the lows. You frustration in holding a long. But in doing this it would do irreparable harm to the Big Picture.

They way I see it, the Low of 1993 NEEDS to hold.

Page 67 of "The Major works of R.N. Elliot" shows the Flat correction.
There are three types of corrections:
1. The Zigag
2. The Flat
3. The Triangle

Characteristic of a Corrections is a 3 waves down - 3waves up - 5 waves down.
Can any one see the 5 waves down from 50?

Out of the three corrective patterns the Flat is the most powerfull.
Summary:
3 waves down from 70
3 waves up to 50
5 waves down to 23.

The flat occurs when the five waves down cannot break the Low of the Three waves down. In this case it was the Low of 1993. 22?

This is the BIG picture.

Since all this is corrective wave action, the Big picture shows AAPL making new all time highs.
