yes, confirms it's no MOM & POP buying. I still don't
know why Steve thinks it's smaller options orders, but
it was clear from the first 15 minutes that it was
hugh orders.

Another way to look at it joe, and you should be able to
put all your experience into answering this, is why now?
You want to buy 5 million shares of COMS, obviously you
don't do it in one day if you can? The institutionals
have been playing a very smart game of accumulating for
months and months. Why are they letting the cat out of
the bag now?

Some thoughts (I develop a new one by the hour):

1) It's possible that there are still a few rounds of backing
and filling that the institutionals know they can get away
with. That's because they know the demand queue (who's
lined up to buy) a whole lot better than I do.

2) CSCO had a huge run, something's up with CSCO. I'm pretty
sure I heard a strong upgrade. CSCO has new business. I can
just about feel it. The rate-cut, IMO, has/will probably increase
orders, huge contracts, by 10-20%. Heck, it's now starting
to be known that ASIA can be made profitable by good companies.
Companies like HWP have to be thrown in the trash can, but
there are "the new breed" that will dominiate ASIA no matter what
happens there. The rate-cuts are now giving opening a huge
door for them.

3) Rate-cuts have accelerated the process, especially with CSCO
flying up.

4) Options related profits. I don't know enough about this
to know how big institutionals can take advantage of options
in a large-scale way. But, I don't believe in coicidences.
The two major events of today, are rate-cuts and options week
(and maybe CSCO upgrade).

5) Buyout...Bullsh!t. IMO, it's a ploy to "manage" the price.
We've seen this enough times already. Price always goes down
after buyout rumor BS. And if it doesn't, it's be somebody
is managing it.

6) Could be shorts (that unbelievably haven't got out yet)
were annialated(sp) today. I'm suspicious of this.

We'll see what happens tomorrow.

best,joe
